Rains and droughts. The ancestral vision of time at the UNAM Geology Museum

The exhibition Rains and droughts. The ancestral vision of time in Milpa Alta opened on July 23 at its first venue, the Geology Museum, where it remained until October 20. The exhibition was a project carried out by Casa Gallina in collaboration with Calpulli Tecalco, the artist Melissa Paredes, and the biologist Héctor Celedón Muñiz. The ecosystems and biodiversity of Milpa Alta were explored, highlighting ancestral wisdom about natural cycles. During the exhibition, a mediation program was carried out with guided tours aimed at residents, teachers, and students from preschool, primary, and secondary levels in Santa María la Ribera. This exhibition was made possible thanks to the support of Fundación Coppel, within the framework of Caleidoscopio 2023, a call for proposals aimed at supporting artistic and cultural projects in public spaces in Mexico.
